Who we are

Hampton Travel is a private hire operator based in Coventry, England. The data controller is Hampton Travel, contactable on 0800 061 4661 or by email at info@hamptontravel.co.uk.

What we collect

Booking enquiries: name, phone number, email address, pickup and drop-off addresses, journey date and time, vehicle preference, special requirements.
Account customers: business name, billing address, named contact, purchase order references.
Website usage: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) collected by our hosting provider for security and uptime monitoring.

Why we use it

To respond to your booking enquiry, call you back with a quote, and confirm your journey.
To dispatch the correct vehicle to the right place at the agreed time.
To invoice and process payment.
To comply with our legal obligations as a licensed private hire operator (record-keeping for the licensing authority).

Lawful basis

We process your data under contract (to deliver the journey you booked), legitimate interest (to run a private hire business and contact you about your enquiry), and legal obligation (licensing and tax records).

Who we share it with

The driver assigned to your journey (name, phone number, pickup and drop-off addresses).
Our dispatch and payment systems (iCabbi, Stripe).
Our accountant, for invoicing and tax purposes.
The licensing authority and HMRC where required by law.

We do not sell your data. We do not pass your contact details to marketing companies.

How long we keep it

Enquiry data: 12 months from last contact. Booking and invoice records: 7 years (UK tax law). Account customer records: for the duration of the account plus 7 years.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to: see what data we hold about you, correct it, delete it (where we are not legally required to keep it), or stop using it for a specific purpose. Email info@hamptontravel.co.uk to make a request. We respond within 30 days.

Cookies

This site uses essential cookies for booking form functionality. We do not run third-party advertising trackers on this website.
